Mr. Harold A. Cooper, Jr., age 85, of 282 Wood St., Bristol, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Palmyra M. (Marshall) Cooper, his loving wife of 60 years. Born in Warren, a son of the late Harold A. and Emma (Exely) Cooper. Harold was a tire repairman for Quonset Point Naval Air Station for 34 years retiring in 1970. He was a communicant of St. Marys Church, Bristol. He served in theUS Army, during WWII. He was a member of the Anthony C. Almeida Post # 237, V.F.W.,Kearney Post # 6 American Legion, both Bristol. He also loved walking his dog daily. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters Nancy C. Dandro and her husband Bill of Worcester, MA and Sally A. Cooper of East Longmeadow, MA, and a sister Mary Silvia of Barrington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Emma Baptiste. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Saturday at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Marys Church “Restoring Her Beauty Campaign”, 330 Wood Street, Bristol, RI 02809.
