Mrs. Grace (Notarangelo) Abenante, age 70, of 40 San Juan Drive, Bristol, died Friday, July 6, 2007 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wfe of James J. Abenante. Born in Providence, RI and a lifelong resident of Bristol, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Nora ( DArcangelo) Notarangelo. Mrs. Abenante owned and operated the Dry Dock Seafood Restaurant in Newport for 20 years retiring 2 years ago. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Joann Carlson of Newport and a son, James J. Abenante, Jr. of Bristol, two sisters, Amelia Notarangelo of Warren, and Loretta Mahoney of MA, two grandchildren, Stacy A. Barnaby of Stratford, CT and Jacob Abenante of Bristol and a great granddaughter, Taylor Grace Barnaby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Delgado and Mary Garret and three brothers, Domenic, Vincent and Julio Notarangelo. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol Tuesday at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Monday, July 9, 2007 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
