Gozie F. Chalker Iii

Gozie F. Chalker, III, 68, of Bristol, passed away peacefully in Providence on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 with his loving wife Terri (Shiver) Chalker at his side. Born in Augusta, GA, he was the son of the late Gozie and Jewell (Mitchell) Chalker. Gozie worked in Emergency Pre-Hospital Medicine for 40 years and worked for Paramedic Systems, Inc./Alert Ambulance in Bristol for well over a decade. He was an avid reader and enjoyed golfing. Gozie enjoyed cycling on the Bristol bike path with his beloved Terri. He was passionate about animals and he loved his four cats. After retiring in 2018, he began dabbling in gardening and photography. In addition to Terri his wife of 38 years, Gozie is also survived by his sister: Kathy Odum; his nephew: Christopher Crawford; and many extended family and friends. Gozie was pre-deceased by his parents. Visiting Hours will be held at Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 2:00 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name can be made to either Hope Hospice or the Friends of the Bristol Animal Shelter, 10 Minturn Farm Road, Bristol.
