Gilda M. (Massarelli) DiGati, age 80, of 115 High Street, Bristol, died, Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Grace Barker Nursing Home in Warren. She was the wife of the late Santo L. DiGati. Born in Waterbury, CT, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Orio) Massarelli. Mrs. DiGati worked as an Registered Nurse at Womans and Infants Hospital, Providence, for many years before retiring in 1993. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society. She is survived by a son, Santo L. DiGati, Jr. of Bristol, two daughters, Lisa G. DiGati and Gina M. DiGati, both of Bristol, a granddaughter, Gianna M. DiGati, and a sister, Jenny Morelli of Meriden, CT.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, May 13, 2008at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Road, Des Plaines, IL 60018.
