Genevieve 'Dede' Malafronte

Mrs. Genevieve “Dede” (Malafronte) Malafronte, age 86, of 8 Wheeler Avenue, Bristol, died Monday, July 30, 2007 at the St. Elizabeths Manor, Bristol. She was the wife of the late Salvatore Malafronte. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Onofrio and Maria (Nappi) Malafronte. Mrs. Malafronte was a homemaker and a devoted mother. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. She is survived by three children; Ralph A. Malafronte and his wife Eileen, Ann Marie DeLucia, and Salvatore Malafronte and his wife Nancy, all of Bristol, six grandchildren, Christopher, Salvatore, Jason, Brian, Alan Malafronte and Mark DeLucia and four great grandchildren, Amanda, Nicholas, Samantha and Katelyn. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Albert J. DeLucia, five brothers, Frank, Louis, Oney, Pasquale and William Malafronte and a sister, Jennie Balzano. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, Thursday, August 2 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope St., Bristol. Visiting hours, Wednesday, 5:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the BVFD Charitable Foundation, PO Box 775 or to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 141 State St., both Bristol, RI 02809.
