Mr. Frank C. Silvia, age 84 of 59 Hopeworth Avenue, died Sunday, December 13, 2009 at the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of the late Doris M. (Brooks) Silvia. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, he was a son of the late Joseph C. and Mary (Silvia) Silvia. Mr. Silvia was a forklift operator for the former Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp in Bristol andPortsmouth, he also owned and operated the Bristol County Movers from 1964-1982. He was a communicant of St. Marys Church and a life member of the Bristol Knights of Columbus Council # 379. He will be sadly missed by his two sons, Paul Silvia and his wife, Dianne of Bristol, Frank M. Silvia and his wife, Deborah of Scituate, three grandchildren, Frank M. Silvia, Jr., Joseph N. Silvia and Kristen M. Silvia and four great grandchildren. In addition tohis wife and parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Manuel and John Silvia, and four sisters, Rose Vieira, Flora Head, Lucy Carraturo and Margaret McKenna. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial,Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 10:00am in St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rhode Island Veterans Home “Chapel Fund”, 480 Metacom Ave, Bristol, RI 02809
