Frank H. "The Captain" Andrews, Sr.

Mr. Frank H. "The Captain" Andrews, Sr., age 86 of Woodlawn Avenue, Bristol, died Thursday, April 05, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Janet C. (McGrath) Andrews, his wife of 55 years who preceded him in death in September of 2008. Frank served in the US Navy during the Korean War abroad the USS Bristol. He was the owner-operator of the Frank Andrews Construction Company of Bristol for many years, retiring in 2008. He was also a longtime Commercial Fisherman. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of area veterans groups. He is survived by his children; Frank H. Andrews, Jr. (Holly) of Brownville Junction, Maine, Karen Silva (John) of Bristol; son-in-law, John McDonald of Bristol, grandchildren; Jennifer Mason (Jacob), Frank H. Andrews, III, Shelly S. Brackett (Jason), Michael McDonald, Peter Silva, Jody Walker, Justin Ingalls and Jacqueline Tessier, great grandchildren; Joshua Cadieux, Presley Andrews, Leigha Higgins, Alexander Ingalls, Rowan Clair Brackett, Patrick and Domenick Brackett, and brothers; Henry J. Andrews, Jr. of Key West, FL, O.J. Andrews (Carol) of Bristol and Thomas Andrews of Warren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael T. Andrews and a brother, John M. Andrews. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol.
