Frances C. Brown

Mrs. Frances C. (Maiorano) Brown, age 85 formerly of Fox Hill Avenue, Bristol, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 in St. Elizabeths Manor, Bristol. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Brown, Sr. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Tindaro and Mary (DiGiorgio) Maiorano. Frances was a waitress for over 25 years for the former Tweets Balzano family restaurant in Bristol, retiring in 1995. A communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol, she enjoy playing Bingo and loved cooking for her family especially her macaroni and meatballs for her Sunday Dinners. She is survived by three children; Patricia A. Brown of Crystal Beach, FL, Joseph R. Brown, Jr. of North Providence and Thomas M. Brown (Kim A.) of Riverside, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and her sister, Anna DaPonte (Albert) of Bristol. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Dupuis. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visitation will be Tuesday morning only beginning at 8:00 AM.
