Filomena Morris

Mrs. Filomena (Tamburro) Morris, age 88 of 1 Colonial Road, Bristol, died Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at the home of her son Russell, on Aaron Avenue, Bristol. She was the wife of the late Dennis “Dan” Morris. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Frances (Tammaro) Tamburro. Mrs. Morris was a production line worker at Converse Rubber Co., formerly in Bristol for 20 years, retiring in 1965. She had previously worked at the former Bristol Manufacturing Co. She loved playing cards, traveling, making and painting ceramics and enjoyed music. She is survived by three sons, Dennis Morris, Jr., of Fall River, MA, Gerald Morris of Warren and Russell A. Morris of Bristol, three grandchildren; Karen Rodriques, Kevin Morris and Kimberly A. Morris and four great grandchildren; Brett and Cally Rodriques, Owen Daniel Morris and Cody Dennis Morris, two sisters, Theresa Morris of Swansea and Carmela Myslivy of Bristol. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by four brothers; Vincent, Alfred, Michael and Jerome Tamburro, and two sisters, Margaret Nastri and Anna Marshall. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Saturday, Nov. 11 at 10AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Friday, 4-8 PM.
