Evelyn Beverly Maciel Poutre

Mrs. Evelyn B. (Amaral) Maciel Poutre, age 78, of 39 Serpentine Road, Warren, died Sunday, October 22, 2006 at the Grace Barker Nursing Center, Warren. She was the wife of Hubert W. Poutre, her husband of 13 years and the late Anthony Maciel. Born in Warren and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Ermilinda (Fagunda) Amaral. She was a Fabricator for the Raytheon Corp. in Portsmouth for 16 years, retiring in 1983. She had previously worked at Converse Rubber Co., formerly in Bristol. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Judith O. Pion, of Bristol and Melanie A. Lemieux, of Cape Coral, FL., a stepson, William R. Poutre and a stepdaughter, Michelle G. Ehr, both of Oregon, a brother, Antone Amaral of Warren, four grandchildren, Matthew R. and Amanda O. Pion, both of Bristol, Kaitlyn R. and Allyson E. Lemieux, both of Cape Coral, FL, three stepgrandchildren, Blake H., Bailey K. “Scout” and Mackenzie A. Ehr, all of Oregon. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her first husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jenna Lyn Lemieux, two brothers, Frank E. and John W. Amaral, and two sisters, Celia Pacheco and Emily Chambers. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, Oct. 27, 2006 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren. Visiting hours, Thursday, 4:00-8:00 PM in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 222 Richmond St., Providence, RI 02903 or to the Warren Rescue Squad, 1 Joyce St., Warren, RI 02885.
