Mrs. Evelyn B. (Barboza) DAlessio, age 82, of 63 Hopeworth Avenue, Bristol, died Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Michael J. DAlessio, her husband of 63 years. Born in Tiverton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Oliviera) Barboza. She was a resident of Bristol for most of her life. She worked at the former Carr Manufacturing Co., formerly in Bristol for 15 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who loved working around her home and in her gardens. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Rosemarie Galimberti and her husband Norman of Laconia, NH, and Michelle M. Formisano and her husband, Frank of Taunton, MA; Eleven grandchildren; Michael, Dennis and Shayna Galimberti, Ginamarie, Francesco, Antonio, Michelina, Gabriele, Rosa, Nunzio and Sofia Formisano and three great grandchildren; Brandon and Emilia Galimberti and Daniel Carvalho. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and George Barboza. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Wednesday, February 17, from 4:00-8:00 PM.
