Evelyn M. Carlson

Mrs.Evelyn M. (Martin) Carlson, age 74, of Benjamin Church Manor, 1014 Hope Street, Bristol, died Monday, May 26, 2008 at her daughters Lori's home. Born in East Providence and a lifelong Bristol resident, she was a daughter of the late Joseph S. and Antonia 'Sadie' (Paiva) Martin, Sr. Mrs. Carlson was a machine operator for the Taylor Box Co. in Warren for over 25 years. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, Bristol. She is survived by three children, Lori A. Gaspar and Robert A. Correa, both of Bristol and Jayne A. Hurst of Warwick, two brothers, Joseph S. Martin, Jr., of East Providence, Raymond Martin of Bristol and a sister, Rene Cardoza, of Bristol, five step-children, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Delores St. Ours. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Thursday, May 29, 2008at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Wednesday, May 28, from 4:00-8:00 PM.
