Evangeline Savino

Mrs. Evangeline (Estrella) Savino, age 90, of 3 Sherwood Valley Lane, Coventry, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008. She was the wife of the late Gabriel J. Savino. Born and raised in Bristol, she was a daughter of the late Emanuel and Ermelinda (Melo) Estrella. A resident of Coventry for the past few years, she previously resided on Redwood Lane in Seekonk, MA for over 30 years and Bristol for many years. She worked for Speidel, Inc. of East Providence for several years, retiring a number of years ago. She was a former communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland and was well know for her religious endeavors. She loved sewing and spending time playing canasta with her family. She is survived by two sons, Joseph G. Savino of West Greenwich, Edward A. Savino of Chepachet, two daughters, Luci Walker of Clayton, NC and Marianne L. Menard of Coventry, six grandchildren; Gabriel Savino of Coventry, Joseph Savino of West Warwick, Christine Boyle of Coventry, Cynthia Trebilcock of Bloomington, IL, Shaun Menard of West Greenwich and Brian Savino of Scituate. Also survived by five great grandchildren; Maya Menard, Haylee Savino, Brian Boyle, Joshua Savino and Hannah Boyle. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary E. Badorek and Almira E. Estrella, two brothers, Edward A. and Joseph Estrella. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, January 11, 2008 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sansone Funeral Home, Bristol.
