Mrs. Eva (Motta) Maturi, age 89, of 60 Court Street, Bristol, died Monday, May 28, 2007 in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. She was the wife of the late Peter Maturi. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Santos) Motta. A homemaker, she was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and a long time member of the Rosary and Altar Society and the former Daughters of Isabella group at the church. She is survived by two daughters, Joan Prenda of Spring Hope, NC, Patricia Bullock of Auburn, MA and a son, Antonio Maturi of Myrtle Beach, SC, two sisters, Loretta Corbin of Rehoboth, MA and Margaret Ventura in Connecticut, fifteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren. She was preceded in death in addition to her husband and parents by two daughters, Antonetta Murphy and Marie Dallaire and three brothers, John, Manuel and Joseph Motta. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, June 1, at 10 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting Hours Thursday, 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
