Eugenia Russo-Celone

Mrs. Eugenia (Rafalska) Russo-Celone, age 81, of 124 Church St., Bristol, died Friday, July 6, 2007 at the Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Angelo Russo and the late Louis J. “Gene” Celone. Born in Pawtucket, RI and a Bristol resident for most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Kathryn (Ozogborn) Rafalska. Mrs. Russo-Celone owned and operated Russo Market formerly in Bristol for many years. She was a communicant of St. Marys Church, Bristol. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy K. Ayers of Lake Mary, FL., and Kathryn R. Baptiste of North Dartmouth, MA, a step-daughter, Jeanne Motta of Bristol, a sister, Irene Granurzsewiez, of Pawtucket, six grandchildren, Kara A. Wells, Toby J. Ayers, Jeana L., Alaina, Erica and Rachael Baptiste, and three great grandchildren, Grace and Faith Ayers and Aria Wells. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Frank Russo and two sisters, Valentine Hannen and Albina Andrews. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Tuesday, July 10, 2007 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Meeting Street School, 1000 Eddy Street, or to the Providence Ronald McDonald House, 45 Gay Street, both Providence, RI 02905.
