Emilio D. Iannuccillo (Jr.), 91, departed this life peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, December 2, 2023. A lifelong Bristol resident, he was the husband of Vicki (Carlson) Iannuccillo. Emilio was a Rhode Island lawyer for over 60 years, practicing law in his yellow office on Hope Street. He served as the Bristol Probate Judge from 1963 and several terms thereafter, and he served as Bristol Town Solicitor from 1974 to 1988. He was also an original drafting committee member of the Rhode Islnd Bar Association real estate title standards. He was a long time member of ALTA and NELTA, land title associations and the Rhode Island Builder's Association. He attended Colt High School where he received the Walsh Memorial Award, Brown University where he graduated with a B.S. in Physics, and Boston University Law School. He was creative, innovative, curious, humble, loyal, deliberate, and approachable, and many people often said he had a sparkle in his eye. His artistic interests including painting, woodturning as a member of Central New England Woodturners, and singing in the Mt. Carmel church choir where his mother, Dora was organist for 55 years. His mechanical side showed through as a Rhode Island Ham Radio Operator (call sign W1SJL), since his college days at Brown, and in his computer programming projects in the 1970's and 1980's. Emilio created and implemented the first computerized election polling results for the Bristol town elections. A loyal family man and gentle soul, he enjoyed organic gardening, tree farming and wine making before it was in vogue, had a small collection of pets and farm animals over the years, and loved camping, recreational boating, traveling, outdoor projects, and MacGyvering almost anything. A Bristol mainstay, he was often seen discussing politics and economics in front of the post office or over a cup of coffee, and might be spotted at the Knights of Columbus, the Elks club, or the Italo-American club. Over the years he helped many people with physical resources or skills or in providing others with economic opportunities and in teaching others how to help themselves, often relying on lessons he had to figure out for himself. He will be sadly missed. In addition to his wife Vicki, Emilio is also survived by his daughters: Sister Maria Iannuccillo, SSND and Rita Iannuccillo Tabraham, his granddaughter, Megan Tabraham, his stepchildren, Robert 'Bob' and Todd Schrenk, his step grandchildren, Haley and William Schrenk, his step great grandchildren Aubrey and Scarlette Schrenk, his sisters, Cornelia DeSanto, wife of the late Frank DeSanto and Joyce Murphy, wife of Robert Murphy, and many extended family and friends. Emilio was pre-deceased by his parents, Emilio D. Iannuccillo (Sr.) and Dora (Ruggiero) Iannuccillo, and his wife Emily (Sammartino) Iannuccillo.
