Elizabeth L. Squatrito, 93, formerly of Hope Street, died February 13th at the Florida Medical Center, Tamarac FL, after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Fortunato J. Squatrito. A lifelong resident of Bristol, RI she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Anna Maria (Grimo) Ascoli. Mrs. Squatrito was co-owner with her husband of Bucolo's Fish Market, The Midway Steak & Lobster House and the White Coach. She also was a cashier at the former Almac's Super Market on Hope Street. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Betty loved crocheting and knitting slippers, shawls, sweaters and christening outfits for her family along with swimming daily in Florida. She is survived by her two sons, Jerome M. and Robert J. Squatrito, both of Bristol, her two daughters, JoAnn Quito of Bristol, and Anna Mae Boyer of Newport. She leaves 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was the sister of the late Michael, Angelo, Lawrence, Nicholas, Anthony, Lillian Ascoli and Frances Fiore. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Tuesday, February 19th at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 0:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to Inpatient Hospice Unit, Florida Medical Center, 500 W.Orchard Park Blvd., #3W, Ft.Lauderdale, FL 33313.
