Mrs. Elisa 'Rita' (Proulx) Parent Botelho, age 83 of 8 Charlotte Drive, Bristol, died Tuesday, Sept. 19 at the Grace Barker Nursing Center, 54 Barker Avenue, Warren. She was the wife of the late Homer L. Parent and the late Anthony Botelho. Born and raised in Warren, a daughter of the late George E. and Althea (Regnere) Proulx. She was a nursing assistant and a housekeeper for the Crestwood Nursing Home in Warren for several years retiring in 1984. She previously worked at the former Davock Nursing Home, Warren and was a Dress Maker for many years. She was a communicant of St. Jean Baptiste Church, Warren and loved sewing and playing the piano. She is survived by two sons, Homer L. Parent and his wife, Shirley Ann of Bristol and Robert P. Parent and his wife, Mary-Ann of Warren, a brother, Russell Proulx of Florida, four grandchildren, Michelle Parent of Piperville, PA, Timothy Parent of Norton, MA, Rene Mersereau of Warwick, and Robert P. Parent, Jr. of Warren, two great grandsons, Matthew and Joseph Goehring. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death, three sisters, Laura T. Toste, Lorraine Saunders, Lydia A. Yergeau and three brothers, Aime H. Proulx, Henry E. Proulx, Sr. and George E. Proulx, Jr. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday at 8 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM in St. Jean Baptiste Church, 324 Main Street, Warren. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Wampanoag Trail, East Providence. Visiting hours, Thursday, 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd., East Providence, RI 02914 or to the American Cancer Society, 222 Richmond Street, Suite 200, Providence, RI 02903.
