Edwin J. Weston

Edwin J. Weston, 95, recently of Bristol passed away at St. Annes Hospital in Fall River, MA on Tuesday May 31,2022. He was the devoted husband of the late Betty Ann Weston. Born in Abington, PA, he was the son of the late Frederick and Martha (Berry) Weston. After graduating high school in Pennsylvania, Edwin went on to enlist in the United States Army in 1944. After completing his military service Edwin went on to utilize the GI Bill, becoming the first member of his family to attend college. While at Penn State he met his beloved Betty and they shared a lifelong love of Penn State football. Edwin stressed the importance of education to his family. Edwin is survived by his children: Joan Rudnicki (John), Gail Costello (Jim), Janet Jordan (Tom), Jeffrey Weston, Laura Tappan (Tony); his grandchildren: Jean Rudnicki (Carlo), Stephen Rudnicki (Mariah), Christopher Rudnicki (Judith), E.J Costello, Lisa Schuller (Sam), Lori Ann Jordan, Kelsey Weston, Patrick Weston, Allison Tappan, Sarah Tappan, Tess Tappan; his great grandchildren: Samantha, Kevin, and Malik, and his sister Dorothy Frantz. He also leaves behind the many friends and acquaintances he made over the years. In addition to his wife Betty and his parents, Edwin was also pre-deceased by his five siblings and granddaughter Ellen Rudnicki. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday June 10, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visitation will be at Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol on Thursday June 9, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name can be made to the Alzheimers Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20671. The Mass will be live-streamed on the "Barry Gamache" Facebook page.
