Mr. Domenic F. “Fred” Cirillo, age 99, of Fales Road, Bristol, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the Riverview Healthcare Community, Coventry. He was the husband of the lade Michelina (Palmieri) Cirillo. Born in Bristol and a resident for many years, he was a son of the late Raffaele and Rosa (Ferrara) Cirillo. He was a former Barrington resident and Coventry resident for a few years. He was a sidelaster for Converse Rubber Company formerly in Bristol for 32 years, retiring in 1973. He previously had worked at the former Bristol Manufacturing Co. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. He was a member of the Cup Defenders Association in Bristol and had served in the RI National Guard for 12 years during peacetime. He is survived by a son, Domenic M. Cirillo of Coventry, four grandchildren; Julie Anne Parker of West Warwick, Jo-Anne Bates and Eugene Flodin, both of Coventry, and Jennifer Allison Cirillo of Reading, PA; six great grandchildren, Crystal Marie Whitford, Steven Eugene Parker, Jr., Katherine Arline Parker, Justin Michael Bates, Joshua and Jessie Flodin and three great great grandchildren, Tyler Scott and Kayleigh Marie Dewey and Jacob Joseph Whitford. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Joseph, Louis, Ralph, John and Augustine Cirillo and three sisters, Frances Principe, Concetta Rubino and Rose Scungio. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Monday, May 18 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in Maria del Camp Cemetery, Barrington. Visiting hours Sunday, May 17, 2009 from 2:00-5:00 PM.
