Dolores Ann Rose Medeiros

Mrs. Dolores Ann (Marshall) Rose Medeiros, age 71 of 204 State Street, Bristol, died Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Elmhurst Extended Care Facility, Providence. She was the wife of the late Francisco “Boombish” Medeiros, Jr. and the late Raymond M. Rose. Born in Providence and a lifelong resident of Bristol, she was a daughter of the late John and Sylvena (Travers) Marshall. She was a polisher for the former R.J. Manufacturing Company, Warren for 4 years, retiring in 1981. She had previously worked for the former Bristol Manufacturing, PF Industries and Converse Rubber Co. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, Bristol. She is survived by two sons, Raymond J. Rose and his wife, Janet of Providence and Francisco Medeiros, III and his wife, Sherry of New Bedford, MA, three grandchildren, Cassandra T. and Nicholas R. Rose, both of Providence and Michael W. S. Medeiros of New Bedford, three brothers; John H. and Richard D. Marshall both of Bristol and Robert Marshall of Cape Coral, FL. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen A. Benevides. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, January 15, 2010 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Thursday, Jan. 14 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
