David W. Marshall, Sr., 62, of Coventry passed away with his family at his side on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Kent Hospital in Warwick.
Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Richard and Agnes (Suchocki) Marshall.
David was a member of the Bristol Fire Department for many years with the Hydraulion Engine & Hose Co. No. 1. A “Jack of all trades” and good at every one of them, Dave especially enjoyed auto mechanics, landscaping, and woodworking. He also loved trains.
He is survived by his children: Anthony P. Chartier (Rose), David W. Marshall, Jr. (Melinda), Vanessa D. Marshall, Damien E. Marshall (Lisa); his grandchildren: Chevy Chartier, Faith Kerstetter, Alexia Charlwood, Gianna Kerstetter, Isabella Marshall, Aurelia Marshall; his siblings: Richard D. Marshall, Jr., Kyle J. Marshall, Lisa M. Zimmerman.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
Visiting Hours will be held at Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. His funeral will start from Sansone Funeral Home on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol at 10:00 AM. David will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Chestnut Street in Bristol.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name can be made to the Fireman’s Memorial and Welfare Committee of the Bristol Volunteer Fire Department, 4 Annawamscutt Dr., Bristol, RI 02809
