Mr. Dana R. Pion, age 52 of 380 High St., Bristol, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the Memorial Hospital of RI in Pawtucket, surrounded by his loving family, following a three month illness. He was the loving husband of Judith O. (Maciel) Pion, his wife of 26 years. Born in Attleboro, MA, and resided in Warren for many years before moving to Bristol seven years ago, he was the son of the late Russell and Jeanne (Charlebois) Pion. Dana worked for Sams Club in Seekonk in the Marketing and Membership Departments. He also owned and operated Eastbay Orthodontic Lab 1983-2009. Dana was an assistant scoutmaster with Troop 25 Warren, A Warren School Committee Member 1992-2000, Building Committee member for the Kickemuit Middle School, Volunteer for the Mt. Hope Marching Band, Exempt member Warren Fire Department Rescue Squad, former EMT, and a former coach for Warren Little League. He also loved sailing, the theater, performing arts, and a avid Red Sox Fan. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Matthew R. Pion of Ft. Collins, CO and Amanda O. Pion of Bristol, two brothers; David E. Pion of Warren and Darrell D. Pion of East Providence and a sister Donna M. Pion of Fall River, MA.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service Monday, November 9, 2009 at 6:00 PMin the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol.
