Concetta J. (Troiano) Hill, age 82, of 20 Roosevelt Dr., Bristol, died Monday, March 24, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Thomas Hill, Jr. Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Maria (Marasco) Troiano. Mrs. Hill was a rubber worker for the former Converse Manufacturing Co., formerly in Bristol. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. She was a charter and life member of the Bristol County Emblem Club No.222, and a member of Providence Emblem Club No. 1, she served as Club Marshall for many years and Eyes for the Needy Chairman also served in several offices of the RI State Association of Emblem Clubs and attended State & National Conventions. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters Ruth Ann Hill and Mary T. DaSilva both of Bristol, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren, a brother, Vincent M. Troiano of Bristol and two sisters, Raphaelina Armillotto of Bristol and Jennie Girard of Warren, and her dog Hershey. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas L. Hill, Sr., a daughter, Terry J. Baich and a brother, Joseph M. Troiano. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, Thursday at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope St., Bristol. Visiting hours, Wednesday 4:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to VNS of Newport and Bristol Counties, 1184 East Main Rd., Portsmouth, RI 02871.
