Columbia Palumbo

Mrs. Columbia “Connie” Palumbo, age 92, of 127 Gibson Rd., Bristol, died Friday, April18, 2008 at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Michael W. Palumbo. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Mathew and Josephine (Paratore) Carmone. She worked for the former P.F. Industries, formerlyin Bristol for 37 years before retiring in 1975. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. She is survived by two brothers, theRev. Anthony F. Carmone of Port Charlotte, FL, and Vincent S. Carmone of Bristol, two Sisters, Juillette Bowman of Lake Havasu, AZ, and Louise Cote of Johnston. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers Paul M. and Mathew, and Theodore Carmone and a sister Virginia R. Carmone. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, April 22, 2008at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bristol Rescue Squad P.O. Box 775, Bristol, RI 02809.
