Mrs. Christine A. (Rich) Pease, age 74, 33 Dimond Avenue, Bristol, died Thursday, November 19 unexpectedly at her home. She was the wife of the late Dr. Richard N. Pease, Sr., Ph.D. Born in Bristol and a resident for many years, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary P. (Cicerchia) Rich. She had lived in Barrington for over 20 years. She was a 1979 graduate of the University of RI with a Bachelors in Arts Degree in Education with a minor in English. She was a teacher assistant in the special education dept. of the Barrington Middle School for 10 years retiring 2005. She previously worked at Brown University in the Physiology Dept., Barrington High School and for over 5 years was the parish secretary at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bristol during the late 1980s where she was also a communicant. She was a member of the Barrington Womens Club, volunteer docent at the Audubon Society of RI, and volunteer usher at the Providence Performing Arts Center, a volunteer for March of Dimes of RI. She taught English as a Second Language for the Literacy Program of RI for over 5 years and received their “Unsung Hero” award for outstanding service. Christine was well known for creating exquisite one of a kind jewelry creations.She is survived by a son, Richard N. Pease, Jr. of East Providence, two daughters, Elizabeth Pease Kennedy and her husband, Shaun of Franklin, MA, Melissa Pease Caldwell and her husband, Jason of South Attleboro, MA, five grandchildren, Melissa Noonan, Kyle Caldwell, Michael and Bridget Kennedy and Mae Caldwell, and a great granddaughter, Priya Noonan. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Rich. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Tuesday, November 24 at 9:00 AM with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Wampanoag Trail, East Providence. Visiting hours Monday, 4:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
