Rego, Cecile H. (LeMarier), 82, of 38 Bourne St. formerly of Dartmouth St. passed away unexpectedly on March 27. In recent months she received care at St. Elizabeth Manor, where she moved after suffering a debilitating stroke. She was the widow of Joseph Rego, Jr. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Lucien and Aurore (Houle) LeMarier. Her youth was spent in Quebec, Canada and in Pawtucket, and she lived most of her adult life in Bristol where she raised her family and worked at the former Converse Manufacturing. She enjoyed oil painting, crafts, and all types of needlework. Her artwork and embroidery are cherished by her family. Survivors include sons, Joseph Rego III of Warren and Charles Rego of Texas, daughters Janet DeMatos and Susan Cirillo, both of Bristol and Elaine Haven of Chesapeake, Virginia; grandchildren Diane Lusignan, William Cirillo, Mary Rego and Michael Haven; great-grandchildren Megan Lusignan, Benjamin Lusignan, Brendan Cirillo and Audin Haven. She is also survived by brothers Armand LeMarier of Texas, Lionel LeMarier of South Attleboro, Massachusetts, and a sister, Rose Lemire of Quebec. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a brother, Roland. Funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 1, beginning at 9 AM from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192Wood Street, Bristol, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street at 10 AM and burial following in North Burial Ground. Calling hours are Monday from 4 until 7 PM.
