Catherine T. Lafazia

Catherine La Fazia, 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 10, 2019 at her home with her loving family at her side. Born in Warren, Rhode Island Catherine was the daughter of the late Joseph and Genoveva (DiSpirito) Natal. Catherine enjoyed 61 years of marriage with her loving husband Dr. Joseph K. La Fazia. Catherine devoted her life to God, to her husband and to her children. She served as an intercessor - in constant prayer for those around her. Catherine was also an accomplished artist. In addition to Joseph her husband, Catherine leaves behind five children; Aja Butler of Bristol, RI, Timothy La Fazia (Maryellen) of San Diego, CA, Jayne Halpin of Bristol, RI, Gina Bernier (John) of Barrington, RI, and Amy Kneath (Thomas) of Bristol, RI. Her memory will also live on through her thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and all those whom she came in contact with. In her passing Catherine is reunited with her son Michael LaFazia and her siblings; Tony Natal, Mary Melucci, Armando Melucci, Ester Bush, and Alfredo Melucci. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM in St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Alexanders Cemetery, Warren. Visiting hours will be held Friday November 15, 2019 from 4PM -7PM in Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol.
