Catherine M. Dusel

Catherine M. Dusel (Murphy), 79, passed away at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence on Sunday, November 27, 2022. She was the devoted wife of John C. "Jack" Dusel, III for 55 years before her passing. Born in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Susan (Boylan) Murphy. Kathy began her career as an assistant to media personalities like Carol Burnett, George Carlin, Bob Newhart in New York City. After moving to Rhode Island, Kathy graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1985 with a Bachelors degree in English. While at URI Kathy was a member of the National Honor Society Phi Beta Kappa. Later in her career, she was a realtor for Coleman Realtors in Providence, later becoming their relocation director. In addition to her husband Jack, Kathy leaves behind her son: John "Chris" Dusel, IV (Kate); her grandchildren: Charlotte C. "Charli" Dusel and John C. "Jack" Dusel, V; and many friends and acquaintances. Kathy was predeceased by her parents Susan and Bernard. Memorial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the East Bay Food Pantry.
