Caroline G. Travers

Mrs. Caroline G. (Martino) Travers, age 90, of 72 Richmond Street, Bristol, died Friday, September 5, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Joseph Travers. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Filomena (Ascoli) Martino. A homemaker, she was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. She is survived by a son, Roger J. Travers and his wife Louanne of East Providence, three grandchildren, Todd J. Travers, Melanie McLellan and Chad Travers, and a great grandson, Kaden McLellan. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Travers, a daughter, Brenda Hawksley, and three brothers, Vincent, Joseph and Andrew Martino. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visitation Tuesday Morning at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bristol Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 775, Bristol, RI 02809.
