Carmela "Millie" Lima

Carmela "Millie" Lima, 93, passed away at her home on July 5, 2019 comfortably surrounded by family. Millie was married to the late Manuel V. Lima for 34 years. Millie was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Carmela (Fiore) Proto. She was also predeceased by her son John Lima and her siblings: Frank Proto, Gaetano "Don" Proto, Joseph Proto, Anthony Proto, Mary Hamel, and Catherine Dias. Millie was known for her love for her family, bowling, Foxwoods and doing word search. She also enjoyed chocolates, Wheel of Fortune and James from Jeopardy. Millies memory lives on through her son Richard A. Lima (his wife Michelle) of Bristol and her two grandchildren Richard A. Lima, Jr and Ashley K. Conte, as well as her sister Susie Souza. Funeral services will be held from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St. Bristol, Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting Hours will be Monday, July 8, 2019 from 4:00 7:00 PM.
