Carlos A. Lopes

Carlos A. Lopes, 77, passed away peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital on Saturday, December 7, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Debra A. (Benevides) Lopes for 44 years before his passing. Born on Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, he was the son of the late Alvaro and Evangelina (Amaral) Lopes. Carlos was a Master Carpenter for multiple decades with various contractors in the Town of Bristol. Carlos loved soccer and served as a coach for the Bristol Youth Soccer Association for many years. What he enjoyed most were the private moments with his family. He is survived by his wife: Debra; his children: Carlos A. Lopes, Jr. (Kylie) and Kathleen A. Lopes (Adam); his grandchildren: Bohden G. Lopes and Wyatt S. Demers; his siblings: Alda Marie Dennis, Luis Lopes, Valdemar Lopes, Aires Lopes, Bento Lopes, Walter Lopes; and many extended relatives and friends. Carlos was pre-deceased by his parents: Alvaro and Evangelina; and his brother Alvaro Lopes. Funeral services will be private.
