Bradford Signor
Trefrey
April 28, 1960 – May 20, 2026
Bradford "Brad" S. Trefrey, 66, of Bristol, RI passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his residence on May 20, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Lisa D. (Runz) Flynn to whom he had been married for the past three years.
Born in Stamford, Connecticut on April 28, 1960, he was a son of the late Howard Trefrey and the late Cynthia Trefrey. He was raised and educated in Weston, CT where he excelled at high school wrestling and golf. He then attended UCONN and the University of Hartford, where he continued his wrestling career.
Following college, Brad worked in financial services on Wall Street in New York City. He later followed in his father's footsteps and entered the jewelry industry. He was the owner and operator of the Golden Dog, a jewelry store on Bannister's Wharf in Newport, RI. He then found his way into the automotive business and began work at the Langway Toyota of Newport followed by the Dartmouth (MA) Toyota dealership. For many years he has been affiliated with the Wellesley (MA) Toyota Dealership where he ultimately achieved the position of General Sales Manager, a job he held at the time of his death.
Brad was grounded, even tempered, and did not hold grudges. He enjoyed antiquing, playing golf and avidly following NCAA wrestling.
He had an incredible zest for life, whether practicing kali with Tim, at Gillett's Mixed Martial Arts in Tiverton, RI, diving into waves at Surfside Beach on his beloved Nantucket or cooking a full Thanksgiving dinner for his family, he lived a life full of joy and without fear.
Brad truly lived in the moment, always at peace with himself and the world.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his two daughters: Emily Trefrey and Alia LaRocca; his stepdaughter: Charlotte Flynn and his two grandchildren: Paisley and Bennett LaRocca.
He was the brother of the late Cynthia Roberts.
