Mr. Antonio H. “Skip” Goulart, Jr., age 59, of 21 Angell Road, North Providence, RI, died Friday, February 12, 2010 unexpectly at his home. He was the husband of Paula (Stabile) Goulart, his wife of 24 years. Born and raised in Bristol, he was a son of the late Antonio H. and Philomena “Phoebe” (Terra) Goulart. He was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1969 and served as a Lance Corporal in the US Marine Corps in the Vietnam War. He has been a resident of North Providence for 17 years, previously residing in Johnston and Bristol. He was a currier for Mr. Messenger in Warwick for the past 10 years, he had previously worked for Lance Distributing Company and a Sales Agent for the John Hancock Life Insurance Company. He was a member of the Anthony C. Almeida Post # 237, Veterans of Foreign Wars and a former Junior Naval Cadet. He was a sports enthusiast, loved spending time with his family, cooking and spending time in his gardens. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Goulart of Johnston and a granddaughter, Ariana Goulart, a sister, Patricia A. Silvia of Wilmington, NC and a brother, Barry H. Goulart of Bristol. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service, Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 7:00 PM in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol. A visitation will precede the service from 4:00-7:00 PM. Burial with Military honors will follow on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 1:00 PM in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI - Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
