Mr. Antonio A. Couto, age 90, of 60 Greylock Road, Bristol, died Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Idalina (Medeiros) Couto, his wife of 62 years. Born in Ribeira Seca, St. Michael, Azores, he was son of the late Antonio and Idalina (Pereira) Couto. He was a Foreman for the former Pearson Yachts formerly in Warren for 25 years before retiring. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, Bristol. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Antonio Couto, of Seattle, WA, Joseph Couto, of Bristol and Edward Couto, of Warren, a daughter, Maria Marshall, of Bristol, six grandchildren; Michael Marshall, Alissa, Stephen, Joseph, Michael and Christopher Couto, two brothers, Eduardo and Raimundo Pereira both of Bristol, Three sisters, Elzira Pereira, and Ilda Pimental both of Bristol, Alda Correia of St. Michael, Azores, and also survived by two great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Manuel Couto, Joao, Jose, and Edmundo Pereira and a sister Cecelia Goulart. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Tuesday at 8:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Monday 4:00-8:00 PM.
