Antonetta S. Ray

Antonetta S. (Stanzione) Ray, 95, of Bristol passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 1, 2023 surrounded by her family. Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Angelina (Velleca) Stanzioine. Antonetta was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bristol. She worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant for many years. She also worked for the Bristol Democratic Party. Antonette loved spending time with her family and friends hosting gatherings whenever she could. She also enjoyed gardening and was an animal rights activist. She is survived by her children: Anthony R. Arpaia (Rosanna), Debra A. Roper (Norman), Patricia Flynn (Patrick); her grandchildren: Koriann Roberts (Neil), Jason P. Arpaia, Kristy Roper, Shanna DeCamara (Don), Megan Wade (Jay); her great grandchildren: Chase A. Roberts, Paul L. Roberts, Stella R. Roberts, Brennan DeCamara, Kyle DeCamara, Aubrie Wade, Jaxon Wade; and her close friend Steven DeAngelis. Antonetta was pre-deceased by her parents Luigi and Angelina, her son Paul M. Arpaia, and her 10 siblings: Sabato Stanzione, Ralph F. Stanzione, Anthony M. Stanzione, Angelo C. Stanzione, Luigi F. Stanzione, Paul L. Stanzione, Gaetano J. Stanzione, Elizabeth S. Graziosa, Caroline G. Criscuolo, Emily S. Reavis. Visiting Hours will be held at Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 4-7:00 PM. Her funeral service will start from Sansone Funeral Home on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 9:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol at 10:30 AM. Immediately following mass Antonetta will be laid to rest at St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.
