Ann Mary Viera, 58, of Bristol passed away peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2025 after an almost 40 year battle with Lupus. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Dorothy Dottie (Saucier) Viera.
Born in Providence and raised in Bristol, she was a graduate of Bristol High School class of 1984. She went on to attend the Community College of Rhode Island where she earned an associates degree in medical Transcription. She later attended Lincoln Technical Institute and became a pharmacy assistant.
Ann worked as a Medical Technician for many years as well as a pharmacy assistant briefly before falling ill. She was a communicant of St. Marys Church in Bristol where she served as a Lector and a Eucharistic Minister. Ann also served on the Bristol Rescue Squad until she was no longer physically able. She was an avid reader, a lover of cats, and enjoyed crafting, especially scrapbooking.
She is survived by her siblings: Kenneth J. Viera, Jr. and Margaret Peggy DeFelice; her nephews and nieces: Benjamin M. DeFelice, Matthew K. DeFelice, Torri L. Viera, and Kayleigh E. Viera; her great-niece: Ellie Viera; and many extended relatives and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents.
Visiting Hours will be held at Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 4:00-6:00 PM. Her funeral will start from Sansone Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. She will be laid to rest at St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.
