Angela Rose Verdi

Mrs. Angela Rose (Campanella) Verdi, age 91, formerly of Bristol and Mattapoisett, MA, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Clarence G. Verdi. Born in Bristol, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Antonia (Ferro) Campanella. Angela was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Bristol and completed studies at Bryant College in 1935. She was an associate office supervisor for Prudential Insurance Company in Providence for 26 years retiring in 1962. Following her retirement, she traveled extensively with her late husband, including a 91 day trip around the world. Angela was a lifelong NY Yankees Fan and an avid reader of history text books and biographies. She enjoyed her home, her career, her friends and family, including numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is survived by a sister, Antoinette M. DeRosa and two brothers, Stephen and Domenic J. Campanella. A Memorial Service will be held at a date and time to be announced. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860-9924. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sansone Funeral Home, Bristol.
