Miss Angela M. Palma, age 82, of 133 Bradford St., Bristol, died Saturday, January 5, 2008 at the St. Elizabeths Manor, 1 Dawn Hill Road, Bristol. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident she was the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Michela (Castriotta) Palma. She taught elementary school in NJ, NY, she also taught at the former St. Marys School in Bristol, Sacred Heart School in East Providence before retiring from the Bristol Public Schools in 1990. At the age of 22, she entered the Religious Teachers Fillipini, leaving the order in 1964. She held a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education form Roger Williams College. She loved Bingo trips to Fox Woods and Jai Alai. Survivors include a brother Nicholas Palma of Cranston and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Louis Palma, five sisters, Catherine Viea, Emily Silva, Rose Cruz, Mary Ann Silvia and Etta Victoria. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting Hours are Tuesday, 4:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Marys Church, “Restore Her Beauty Campaign”, 330 Wood Street, Bristol, RI 02809.
