Mrs Olympia Furtado

Olympia Furtado, 97, of Wood Street in Bristol died Tuesday December 28 at The Saint Elizabeth Manor, Bristol. She was the devoted wife of the late Manuel Furtado. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Isabel Duarte Rebello. She was the loving mother of Eileen Malafronte and her husband Ralph. Cherished grandmother to Christopher and his wife Erin, Brian, Alan and his wife Jennifer Malafronte. Loving great grandmother to Nolan and Nathan Malafronte In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three sisters Mary Oliver, Isabel Silvia, Madeline Moura and two brothers Manuel Rebello and Frank Duarte. She was loved by all and will always be remembered for her loving and caring ways. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, Friday, December 31 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours, Thursday, 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Elizabeth Manor Activities Fund.
