Lorraine Raposa

Mrs. Lorraine (Ethier) Raposa, age 76, of 5 West Street, Bristol, died Monday, March 23, 2009 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late William Raposa. Born in New York, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Margaret (McGillik) Ethier. Mrs. Raposa worked for the former Premier Thread formerly in Bristol as a machine operator for many years. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, Bristol. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Oliveira and her husband, Paul of Warren, a son in-law, Kenneth Champigny of Fall River, three grandchildren, Kenneth Champigny, Jamie and Jennifer Oliveira and a brother, Henry Ethier of Fall River, MA. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Champigny, a brother Peter Ethier, Jr. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, March 27, 2009 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut St., Bristol. Visiting hours Thursday, 4:00-8:00 PM.
