Mrs. Julie C. (White) Wentzell, age 87 of Orchard Avenue, Barrington, formerly of Church Street, Bristol, died Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Robert O. Wentzell. Born in Dorchester, MA, a daughter of the late Samuel X. and Rita (Crowne) White. A resident of Barrington for the last 10 years, she previously resided in Bristol for 40 years and previous to that in Randolph, MA. Julie was a bookkeeper for Thomas W. Heald, Attorney at Law in Providence and for the R&D Construction Company in Warren, both for several years, retiring in the late 1990’s. She previously worked for Fedra Designs Ltd. For 8 years in East Providence and Providence. She was a communicant of St. Luke’s Church, Barrington and a former communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and a member of the Rosary and Altar Society. She is survived by five children; Samuel X. Wentzell (the late Carol) of Abington, MA, Robert O. Wentzell, Jr. (Rose) of Breckenridge, CO, Fred A. Wentzell of Alma, CO, Diane M. Nichols (Bob) of Barrington and Mary-Jo A. Wentzell of Bristol, twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John C. Wentzell and siblings, Mary R. Stevens and Frank X. White. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM in St. Luke’s Church, 108 Washington Road, Barrington, RI. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be Monday evening only, November 27, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, RI.
