Welcome to the memorial page for

Mr Arnold A. Silva

April 12, 1931 ~ June 1, 2017 (age 86) 86 Years Old

Arnold Silva, 86 of Bristol, a son of the late Manuel and Celia Silva, has passed away this June 1, 2017 leaving behind his wife Eleanor; four children: Jane Dennis (Bill), Arnold Silva Jr. (Ruth), Paul Silva (Laura), and Michael Silva (Lisa); twelve grandchildren: Patrick, Kate, and Elizabeth Dennis; Jennifer, Michael, Jessica, Jonathan, Matthew, Nicholas, Victoria, Timothy and Daniel Silva; and two great-grandchildren of their beloved, “Pop Pop”, Natalie Ruth Mariano and Emma Silva.
Born on April 12, 1931, Arnold grew up, made a home, and raised a family in Bristol, or "God's country" as he and his wife often called it. He worked and retired from Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corp, Raytheon, and the Rhode Island National Guard. Arnold devoted 28 years of service to the Guard, earning the rank of Master Sergeant. He made lifelong friends and memories during his service.
Arnold taught his children how to live a life of hard work, to show respect for those they meet along the way, and to love their families unconditionally.
Arnold will be missed by all who knew him and never forgotten by those who loved him.
He has left God's country and has entered God's kingdom to watch over the family he loved so much.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert P. Silva and a sister, Lydia Medeiros.
