Mrs. Laura (Oliveira) Andrade, age 84 of 6 Bray Lane, Bristol, died peacefully Thursday, June 12, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her beloved husband, Alfred Andrade and her loving family, on their 60th Wedding Anniversary. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of Thomas and Alexandrina (Pinheiro) Oliveira. Laura worked for the former Lloyd Manufacturing Company in Warren for nine years, retiring in 1976. She had previously worked for ten years at the former Carr-Fulflex Corp. Laura was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and a member of its’ Nocturnal Adoration Society. She was a volunteer for many years for “Meals On Wheels” and a longtime member of the Barrington YMCA. Laura loved spending time with her family and her daily Rosary, prayed for them in love. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four beloved children, Thomas J. Andrade of Bristol, Fred Andrade (Diane) of Pawtucket, Paul M. Andrade (Deborah) of Riverside and MaryEllen Dias (Paul) of Bristol, a beloved grandson, Benjamin Dias of Bristol, two sisters, Mary Ferreira (Manuel) and Helen Andrade (John P.), both of Bristol and a brother, Joseph G. Oliveira (Irene) of Nashua, NH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a beloved grandson, Paul M. Andrade, Jr. and a sister, Alexandrina B. Greene. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Tuesday, June 17, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
